Lustres are liquids, in the same family as bright gold and shiny platinum, which when fired coat the glaze with a brightly coloured metallic layer. The vibrant pinks and purples containing gold are relatively expensive but they can also be thinned down by as much as 1 part in 20 and still look attractive. Because they are such powerful colours you can easily cross contaminate, so clean your brush as below before moving onto another colour.
Sunshine Onglaze Colours are completely intermixable apart from the cadmium containing colours: Mandarin Yellow, Bright Orange, Poppy Red and Cardinal Red which can only be mixed with each other.
Use Polar White for Pastel Shades and Onglaze Flux for Water Colour Effects.
